We have a vacancy at present for a new SHOP MANAGER.
After 6½ years in the job, our much-loved Jillian is taking well-earned retirement and we are now looking for someone to take on our wonderful shop.
Our SHOP and Post Office in Hinton St. George has been running in community ownership successfully since 2011. It employs 6 regular staff, all of whom are part-time. We sell a wide range of food and drink, household items, greetings cards and gifts of various kinds and the shop is a focal point for the community.
Applicants should have experience of managing staff in a retail environment and should preferably have knowledge of Post Office procedures. A salary of circa £13,000 (depending on the hours agreed) will be available to the successful applicant; in addition, there is a contributory pension scheme and also a generous staff reward scheme whereby staff share in the success of the business.
