2008 – Post Office Rescue

The Hinton St. George Post Office was threatened with closure in 2008 due to a totally illogical decision by Post Office Ltd. A huge and vigorous community effort, supported by our MP, resulted in a reversal of the threat and ‘Our’ Post Office remains as an essential part of Our SHOP and flourishes.
